Leilani Clark,
Thank you for youe article on karaoke. So sorry you missed the excitement that usually accompanies my karaoke shows. The shows can get really wild on those special nights when we fire up the funk, the R&B, and the heavy metal.
I do something a little different than the other karaoke shows. I developed something I call Speed Karaoke. It's my attempt to get new singers up as soon as possible and avoid the dead air phenomenon at all costs. I even employ filler music between songs to keep the show moving. Over the years as a karaoke customer, my friends and I were dying as a result of the lame delays during most karoake shows. As a result to not take it any longer after constant constuctive criticism of these shows that went in one ear and out the other, I decided to create my own karaoke show to produce a more professsional show that hopefully won't put most people to sleep or have them running for their automobiles. I try to avoid most of the jawboning that most KJ engage in and treat the venue more like a show to keep people's interest.
Hope to see you again soon.
Now at the 8-Ball in Cotati on Tuesday nights....
